As an interior designer, my work has always been about more than furniture. It's about creating atmosphere. Every space I design is an ecosystem where material, form, and emotion exist in harmony. Objects are not just functional, they contribute to an overall experience.

I have always shared my home with cats. But when I adopted Rumi and Mila, I was living in a small loft with my husband and our large dog—no doors, no walls, no wasted space. Every object had to earn its place.

Searching for cat products to integrate into our home revealed a flaw: most were designed as necessities, not as part of a cohesive space. Plastic bowls. Beige-carpeted scratching posts. Oversized contraptions that demanded space but gave nothing back. It was as if no one had considered that pet products must belong in the home, just as much as they serve the animal.

So I designed something better. Studio Meu was born not as a brand, but as an architectural response to a need. The way I approach pet design is the same way I approach interiors: by starting with an atmosphere, a feeling, a vision of seamless belonging. Only then do objects emerge—refined, intentional, essential.
